Why Cudwell Meadow is important
We are delighted to have reached our target for the purchase of Cudwell Meadow, an area of wetlands south of Church Stretton. We now have the opportunity to transform it from an over-grazed, neglected plot into a wildlife haven with the emphasis on water management. A combination of rewilding and careful management will enable plants to flourish, create permanent habitat for wildlife and reduce flood risk.
Your valued contribution has enabled us to move more quickly both with the purchase of the meadow and to start managing the wetlands. We are very grateful for this. It has given us the opportunity to create something precious for present and future generations of the Strettons.
