Become a MMCLT Shareholder
The Middle Marches Community Land Trust is a Society for the benefit of the community, which you can join by purchasing shares. The minimum number is £50 of £1 shares, and they mean that you part own a stake in any land that the Trust acquires.
These are lifelong shares in the Trust, and entitle you to one vote at the Annual General Meeting. They are completely non-profit making and cannot be sold on or transferred (unless stated so in a Will) – you are investing in the future.
The maximum number of shares one person can buy is £100,000, but they will hold only one vote regardless of the volume of shares. This means the Society remains completely democratic.
MMCLT shares are refundable upon request; this is at the discretion of the Board and may be subject to a small administration fee.
