The Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary Butterfly: talk
Wednesday 2 September, 6.30 – 8.30pm
Norbury Village Hall, SY9 5DX
An illustrated talk by Rob Rowe & Charlie Bell.
Volunteers have been improving the condition of wet flush habitat to benefit the Small Pearl-Bordered Fritillary Butterfly (SPBF).
Marsh violet (SPBF larval foodplant) were propagated from cuttings and planted at sites around the Stiperstones where it is in short supply.
One of three talks celebrating the Shropshire Hills Landscape Trust (2026 marks the Trust’s 10th anniversary!). Since 2016, the Trust has funded 124 projects with £180,000, and involving over 1,000 people.
All talks are free to attend.
We ask for a £5.00 donation which will cover hall hire and refreshments, with all additional contributions going to our 10th Anniversary Conservation Fund. Every pound helps us say ‘yes’ to more community projects protecting the Shropshire Hills.
