Meet the People who Made Middle Marches Happen
I have worked in the community and voluntary sector for 35 years.
I have setup and run several projects, including; Radio Maldwyn, Newton Family Centre, the Log Cabin adventure playground and Bishops Castle & District Community Land Trust.
A retired business development and training consultant working in U.K., EU and Australia.
I have lived locally for the last 20 years and have become involved in environmental projects in the area.
I grew up in Shropshire and decided to return home to learn more about our family farm business in January 2018.
I’m passionate about supporting charities and work as a website freelancer in my spare time.
I worked for English Nature and Natural England in a variety of roles.
I’ve also worked closely with voluntary organisations, especially the Langdyke Countryside Trust.
I’m a local ecologist who has lived and worked in the area for 40 years.
I spend as much time outdoors as I can and I get much joy from finding different plants, fungi and ancient trees.
I’ve spent 17 years managing AONB’s and World Heritage Sites in Devon, Cornwall and the Isle of Wight.
Now as Managing Director of Wyre Community Land Trust, I am working to bring a neglected ancient woodland landscape to life for people, wildlife and livelihoods.
